Ah Flis is being a little bit tricky this month.

The photography challenge is a bit different.

It will be one photo only.

You need to show a picture of

your dream birthday cake.

something you have made yourself,

something you wish someone

I have been thinking about the

photography challenge, why not take the

opportunity to experiment with the

settings on your cameras.

Change the white ballance, experiment

with DOF, shutter speed or something

you dont usually use, just play and

see where it leads you, you never know

you might just learn something to

share with the rest of us.

Woohoo, I have had these files in drafts

waiting to be posted or hours.

So anyway this is what I have

accomplished this month. Super slack

start to the month. Mojo has

been MIA, happy with what I have done

but not busting my gut doing it.

The cork board is not part of this Lo,

I couldn't crop right in without losing my bird.

This is for the 1,2,3 challenge over here
1. colour - yellow

2. word - sunshine

3 misting, coloured the flowers and

done the flourish.

This one is for KIU

must use kraft and yellow green and black.

August Write Now at Bons

Criteria; minimal pp, I only used white cs

a head shot of yourself, yep that is me

and pick a word and use it to journal about

yourself, my word is SHE

I hand cut some shapes and used glimmermist

to create my background, a bit of

doodling and wah-lah {sp?}, a

few odd embellies and there it is.

Since my printer wont print I have had to

use any photo I can lay my hands on,

this one was taken a few days before Zayne

turned one, it is very tongue in cheek,

I couldn't resist.

This is the sketch challenge over at Bons

Very country feel to it, not intentional

but worked out pretty good anyway.

And this is our very new, very special, very loved

new addition to our growing family.

Bryelle Maree Scobie,

Craig and Teeg's have blessed us with

this gorgeous little girl, she is just the cutest

little thing ever {I might just be a little biased}

but you know what I mean.

So anyway, not much to show for half a month,

but I am quite happy with it all anyway.

I am home.....

I scrapped...

I have finally got something to show
for the month. I have had a couple
of half done Lo's hanging around
for weeks, just staring at me, daring me
to finish them. Trouble was they
were wrong, couldn't work out why
until a day or two ago.
So yesterday at work I fixed them,
I took to both of them with my scissors
and remounted them and felt
much better about them.
The first one here of Jed was on Kraft,
way too much white space, so I cut it
back and remounted it on the green, added
the touch of red? and there you have it...
done. Cept I would like to add
some journalling, but my printer is
on the fritz, so that will have to wait.

This one of Sophie, was just wrong, wrong
wrong, had no idea why, then it hit me,
too much pink, so I trimmed it down,
stuck it on the white c/s added that little
touch of colour on the side and that was
all it needed.

I {heart} this one.
so simple, so quick but so lovely.
I have used a bit of paper from last
months girl kit at Bons,
just that paper, using the bracket from the
cut off piece at the bottom, a doiley,
some Kaiser rub-ons, bit of string,
a flower and some hat pins.
How bloomin simple hey.
Bet I cant do another just like it.

GONE.......woohoo

{always wanted to add that somewhere}

So now I had better do the challenges for
the July CC. They are pretty damn good
this month too. Cept for the one using red,
but I can do that now, so all is good.
The photo prompt is a bit hard today, something
pink, be it food, flowers circles or what-ever,
I just done know what to do,
and my camera battery is flat, so
better charge that up asap.

Not such a good idea after all....

I was reading on google

last night about using the shadow button,

it was supposed to make the pics more

natural looking. Everything is red,

not so good after all. Looked

lovely on the camera. Not so

good on the puter.

I took out all the colour on this one

just to see if it looked any better.

Not sure I like it in B/W.

This is a self portrait. Using the Nikon,

brilliant shot.

She didn't like the way I put

on her eye shadow, but I think it looks

ok in the pics.

And this crinkly old bat allowed

Tiff to take a pic or two, most have

been deleted, a bit hard to focus on

eyes when you are not sure what you are doing.

I must say I really like this one though.

I have used it for my AV over at

Bons and also on FB.

Before lunch.....

I decided to take a whole lot of
random shots of my day.
The wind was still blowing and
I didn't think we would be doing
much at all.
I used the vacuum, the washing machine,
chatted on both phones,
made some soup {yum} and
noticed the star cookie cutter sitting
on the bench from the night before.
Of course we had to sample
the soup for lunch, so Mmmmm.

Then Tiff thought it might be
a good idea to draw on the front sliding
window with some texta's.
I found these U-beaut wipe off
texta's at Woolies one day,
so good, keeps her occupied for
ages and she can clean it off with
a swipe of the duster on the end.
Pretty cool to be able to take
a pic of her drawing from inside too,
she was pretty happy that she could write
backwards so neatly,
pity about the spelling though,
but just how do you spell
Cheshire?

so that was our morning,
afternoon follows this post.

After lunch...

we went for a walk here...

and played with the sand and shells

and did a lot of this.

I am so glad the wind stopped mid-afternoon.
Again we pretty much wasted the day,
but sure had a lot of fun doing it.
Dont you wish you had of been here
to enjoy it with us.

Today....

we went for a little walk under the trees
in the neighbours yard.
Tiff messed around a lot,
took some photos,
and let me take some of her.

Some of the things we found while
we wandered. I nearly trod on one
of the fungus things before I even noticed it,
then Chris {owner of property}
pointed us in the right direction to
find some more.
Tiff spotted the wallaby hiding
behind some long grass, he let us get
very close before he decided to move,
the protea was up near the mechanic's,
he was doing the rego check on my car,
and the big pot looking thing
is in Chris' driveway,

I really should have been scrapping, but it
was such a beautiful day,
really too nice to stay indoors.
After our walk we came back and
cooked apple pie, Tiff made jam tarts,
and I cooked mince chow mein.
All in all, it was a pretty good day.

6 Sleeps.........

until PEANUT makes his/her grand debute

So EXCITED

I cant believe that it is 9 months

already, seems like only

a month or two since Craig and Tegan

told us the great news.

I am a wee bit jealous at the moment,

Sheri is already in Tumut,

we managed to find a ride for her

with a friend today, so she

will be johnny on the spot if things

move fast up there.

Tiff and I will be waiting for the phone

to ring with the message to get

in the car and drive, it is going

to be the longest trip I have ever made,

I am sure it is going to feel as if we will

never get there. Craig was yanking my

chain today and saying that he would

let us know in the morning if Peanut

decides to come in the middle of the night.

At least I hope he was only joking.

There is snow predicted for Tues and Wed,

that is a bit of news I was hoping not to hear.

So little Peanut, anytime you are ready,

you know we all cant wait to meet you.

This is just a practice to see if it works,
I will be back later to add more.

Yay, I scrapped!!!
And I am happy with all of them.

I was not sure about the background,
but now it is finished I dont mind it
at all, not sure about the stamping
using glimmermist, but everything
else is good.

Skye's scraplift, this month she
chose a Lo of mine to lift.
I didn't know how hard it would
be to copy something of my own.
I love how this has turned out,
the pic does not do it justice.
Love the piccy of Tani too,
she is one gorgeous kid.
{even with the blue lips}

and this is my photo for today,
the prompt was comfort food.
I went to the supermarket on my
way home from work and snapped this,
I was so embarrassed that I nearly
ran out of the shop, and no
I didn't buy anything while I was there.

The optical illusion is doing my head in,
I promise the pic is straight and in proportion.

June CC photos...

A couple of pics from the past few days...
I have only a couple to show you,
not having a great time with the camera
at the moment, I forgot to centre
the focus, and all my pics are crap.
So anyway, this is Tiff eating a
Caramello Koala so that I
could take a photo on Thurs, for the
crop, the prompt was guilty indulgence.

Frid was a quote, something to do with
winter and bare trees, and woolen
jumpers, so I sort of went with bare
trees, and these amazing red flowers
trying to do their best to make the tree
look warm. Lol.

Just a random pic of a dismembered tree
at the bottom of Tilba hill, the council
or someone was trying to do something with
it, other than savage it I am not sure
what it was supposed to achieve.

I was just playing with picasa to see if I could
load these pics, I could not even sign into
blogger yesterday, I will do a proper
post some other time.

WooHoo, I loaded these in super quick time,

then blogger chucked a spaz

and kicked me out....twice.

Anyhow, these are just a couple of

the pics I took on Saturday arv

at Wallaga Lake.

Love the sky and all the different

colours in the hills of the next two.

They were taken about 20 mins apart,

such a difference in colours.

The next two were taken facing the other

way, through the lens it was

hard to tell where the water ended

and the sky began.

They are pretty crooked but I lost

too much of the pic trying to edit them.

I hate double spacing..........

Now what have I been up to lately.

Not an aweful lot I am afraid.

I did go and do a course with Adult Ed

for 3 days last week.

What did I learn, um, that I

already knew what they were teaching me,

that I really would like to have windows 7,

and that I really would love to have

a laptop so I could play with it at work.

Is the course going to magically help

me find a paying job, not likely.

We done Word, Excel and Outlook.

Unless there was an office job somewhere

it is not something that I will be

using often.

Did I already mention that I

HATE double spacing.

So slow......

I was thinking it was time

I got my act together and loaded

something here....

That was until bigpond decided

I have over used my monthly

quota and put the breaks on.

We have never gone over

the alotted monthly allowance,

so I am not sure what is going on.

I can tell you it is bloody

annoying though.

So I will just have to tell you all

that there is another awesome

Happy 12th Birthday....

to my darling Tiffany.
It hardly seems like 12 years ago that
I was in hospital holding you in my arms.
I can almost remember it like it was
only yesterday. I had to have a
Caeser cause you were a stubborn little
thing and refused to turn so you
could be born. The Dr said
you were sitting on my right hip
with your legs bent and your feet sitting
on my left hip, you had your head tucked
under my left ribcage, you must
have been comfortable like that
because you hadn't moved from that
position for weeks. He said you must have
wanted to stay there cause there
was no part of you that was in a
position to be born.
Guess what was the best present
you got today. I suppose now you
will nag me until I take you shopping.

Your cake, mmmm. Look at all those candles
nearly enough to light up the room. LOL.

Here is take 2 on the Lo that I

didn't like. I am not so sure

I am happy with it now, but it is better

than the other one.

And a scrappy LO. I used scraps or

older product for most of this.

Quite proud of myself for that.
I have joined bits of paper to make

it stretch and everything.

A page or two.....

I am super slack, this is all I have

scrapped for ages.

I think I started this one for something

in last months challenges at Bons.

It was so long ago I cant remember.

I like all the girly colours in this.

It says 'these gorgeous girls

are more than mates'.

This one of Miss Tiff is for the May

sketch challenge at Bons. It is a

really nice sketch, my brain was not

switched on, so I have just pretty much

just copied the sketch. Not sure that I

am liking it, but at least it is done.

And this is the one that didn't make it.

I am not happy with the glimmermist

so I have now dismantled this and started again.

I love wasting Kraft...NOT. It was one of

my last pieces. I have nearly finished remaking this

I will have to post it in a day or two.

Oh, and I am not sure about the title either.

It will be something about my gift to me.

All I wanted for mothers day was a pic

of the girls together, so this was it,

taken the day before but close enough.

Any hints would be good.

Ok, I might load a couple of pics later too,

but then again maybe I wont.
